The challenge
East Buffalo Development Corporation (EBDC) needed a scalable, nonprofit-friendly system to manage its Vacant Rental Program across outreach, applicant intake, eligibility screening, desk review, inspections, document collection, and program reporting. The existing process required better structure, visibility, and automation while remaining practical for a small nonprofit with limited administrative capacity.
What we built
CloudSage designed and implemented a Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud foundation to support EBDC’s housing program lifecycle:
- A structured data model for Applicants, Applications, Properties, Units, Scope Items, Desk Reviews, Inspections, and related review records
- WordPress-based application intake integrated with Salesforce eligibility screening and status-driven workflows
- Desk review, inspection scoring, applicant communication, and document tracking processes
- Role-based access, UAT governance, training, and go-live readiness practices for internal adoption
- A roadmap extended to include Experience Cloud applicant visibility, scheduling, JobTread handoff, inspection reporting, and future compliance tracking
The result
A production-ready Salesforce foundation for the housing program, improving application visibility, review consistency, applicant communication, and leadership reporting.
